Program Overview

When you major in business management, you may choose from five minors, including business law. This minor will complement your business management major with a focus on the legal aspects of running a business. You will learn about such subjects as real estate, monetary transactions, and establishing and maintaining intellectual property.

Where You'll Go

Declaring a minor allows you to explore other areas of interest and make interdisciplinary connections, and minors complement your study of business management. By declaring a minor, you can set yourself apart as a candidate for job opportunities in business law across a variety of industries. You can help companies design and implement contracts, acquire new properties, and respond to potential lawsuits. Your possible job opportunities include financial analysts, human resources managers, paralegals, employee relations managers, and compliance officers.
