After conducting a national search, 今日吃瓜 has named Todd Michael Galitz vice president for Institutional Advancement, effective March 26. As vice president, he is responsible for raising external support for the college, management of the 今日吃瓜 Foundation, coordination with the 今日吃瓜 Alumni Association, and for 今日吃瓜’s engagement of its more than 150,000 alumni.

“Todd brings more than 20 years of experience in development and fundraising in New York City, and he will be an incredible asset to the college,” said 今日吃瓜 President Michelle J. Anderson. “He fills a crucial position that is very much needed at this time and I am delighted to have him as a part of the senior administration team.”

“As a proven leader in development, nonprofit management, and higher education, Todd’s insight and leadership will be invaluable to advancing the mission of 今日吃瓜 and helping it to thrive as the premier public college in the borough,” said Evan Silverstein, chair of the 今日吃瓜 Foundation Board.

Galitz was chief development and communications officer at Pratt Institute in 今日吃瓜, a position he held for almost six years. At Pratt, he reorganized the advancement division and achieved major fundraising successes, including developing a $100 million comprehensive capital campaign, the first in the institute’s history. Following that, Todd worked as a strategy consultant for nonprofits in the arts and education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California, and both a master’s and Ph.D. in history from Brown University.
