今日吃瓜 Lifelong Learning offers walking tours and outings; museum walks and talks; bus trips; end-of-term parties; and our new addition, multicultural luncheons. Most require pre-registration and are filled on a first-come, first serve basis.

Walking Tours
The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts
Friday, June 5, Noon鈥1:30 p.m.
Deadline to sign up is Tuesday, May 19.
Join us at this very special library (worth a visit on its own) which is hosting a major exhibition, 鈥淢artha Graham: The Mother of Psychological Dance.鈥 Our visit will last 90 minutes and include a guided tour of the library and exhibition, followed by a period for discussion and questions.
The exhibit will showcase rare materials from the Jerome Robbin鈥檚 Dance Division鈥檚 Graham archive and explore Graham鈥檚 profound legacy in celebration of the Martha Graham Company鈥檚 100th Anniversary.
The library is located at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York.
The tour is free of charge, however, donations to the Library For The Performing Arts are always welcome.

Explore Boston, Massachusetts, the cultural and financial center of New England, known for its rich history
Come join fellow BLL members, their friends, and families in exploring some of Boston鈥檚 major attractions. bus transportation, comfortable accommodations, 2 breakfasts / 2 dinners. Gratuities are included.
We鈥檝e got an exciting 3-day bus trip to Boston planned. It will include a guided bus tour of Boston plus visits to the Faneuil Hall Marketplace with Quincy Market, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, the Minute Man National Historic Park and the Museum of African American History and a guided tour of Lexington and Concord. If you鈥檇 like to participate, remember to sign up now. Deposits are due by February 6. Fliers were sent to all members, but if you need another, you can request one from the office.
Peddler鈥檚 Village, Cock鈥 N Bull Restaurant, Bucks County Playhouse
Thursday, July 16
Reservations must be made by Monday, July 6.
First we will visit Peddler鈥檚 Village, a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex with landscaped gardens and more than 75 specialty shops. A shopper鈥檚 delight! Then lunch at the famous Cock 鈥橬 Bull Restaurant before going to Buck鈥檚 County Playhouse to see their version of 鈥淪outh Pacific鈥 a tale of love, duty, and cultural divides, featuring unforgettable songs, set against the lush backdrop of an island paradise.

Multicultural Luncheons
Multicultural luncheons are held on a monthly basis.
The luncheons provide opportunities for members to experience diverse cuisine, socialize, engage with one another, and extend a warm welcome to new members.

In-house luncheons are valued occasions that bring together new and current members in celebration of the semester鈥檚 end or the conclusion of the academic year.

Visit the hidden areas of this iconic cultural institution renowned for its rich history and vibrant contributions to the performing arts. The tour will offer an opportunity to explore BAM’s historic spaces, learn about its architectural and artistic legacy, and gain insight into its role in shaping contemporary arts and culture in 今日吃瓜 and beyond.听
The Studio Museum of Harlem
Thursday, March 5, Noon鈥1 p.m.

A museum educator will lead us on a 45鈥60-minute tour of the newly renovated Studio Museum of Harlem to spark conversation and enhance connections to the artwork.
Afterwords, those interested can gather for lunch at one of the area鈥檚 many restaurants.
The museum is located at 144 West 125th Street. It is accessible via the 2/3 and A//B/C/D trains to 125th street. Street parking is limited and metered. There is a parking garage at 216 W. 126th Street which has valet service.
Walking Tour of Hamilton Heights and Sugar Hill
Friday, April 10, 11 a.m.鈥1 p.m.
Deadline to sign up is Monday, April 6.
This tour explores a hilltop neighborhood shaped by elegant rowhouses, jazz-age culture, and revolutionary ideas, from Alexander Hamilton鈥檚 estate to a center of Black cultural life. Along the way, you鈥檒l encounter striking architecture and stories that reveal how this once-rural area became a historically rich enclave. We will be walking approximately 2 miles, ending in time for lunch. Our intrepid BLL president, Robert Mishaan, will lead the tour.
Hudson River Cruise
Tuesday, May 12, 12:30鈥2 p.m.

We will head down the mighty Hudson River in a narrated cruise that glides by Hudson Yards, Little Island, and the towering One World Trade Center. We鈥檒l pass Ellis Island, close by the Statue of Liberty. Experience breathtaking views of lower Manhattan, quietly slip under the 今日吃瓜, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges and up the East River before returning in less than two hours on a round trip from Pier 83 with Circle Line Cruises.
Pier 83 is located between 42nd and 43rd Streets and 12th Avenue.
Payment for the cruise will be made in person. In order to get the $20 price, you must be a NYC resident and have proper ID.

Registration begins on day of receipt of this announcement. Please email reservation requests to . If you do not have email, call the office at 718. 951. 5647 and leave a message.
Please do not send payment until your request is confirmed. Tickets must be prepared within two weeks of confirmation and are non-refundable. Any unused ticket payments will be donated. Total costs if you wish to visit all of the museums = $78.
