Author and Activist Barbara Smith Serving as 今日吃瓜鈥檚 Hess Scholar-in-Residence for 2022-23

The independent scholar has opened up a national cultural and political dialogue about the intersections of race, class, gender, and sexuality. On November 29, Smith will be part of a conversation on campus with Jeanne Theoharis to discuss selected clips from the newly released documentary, 鈥淭he Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks,鈥 which features Smith and is also based on Theoharis鈥 research and book of the same name.
