Free Up Yuhself: Transgressive Bodies and Contestations in the Carnivalesque
October 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
Join the editors and authors of Free Up Yuhself for a discussion of gender and sexual transgression in the carnivalesque.
The volume explores and theorizes what it means to embody and be empowered by the chaos of transgression, evaluating the implications for people who destabilize the Caribbean region鈥檚 dominant gender and sexuality politics within the Caribbean and the Caribbean diaspora.
This event is part of the series The Global Caribbean: Deep Water, Strong Roots sponsored by Caribbean Studies, Black Faculty and Staff, and The Ethyle R. Wolfe Institute for the Humanities.
