World AIDS Day is a collective day of mourning and action in response to the AIDS crisis. Join the LGBTQ+ Resource Center in the Art Gallery for our second edition of Art as Activism. This year we will highlight women’s contributions to the art, activism, and understanding of HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Alexandra Juhasz will be featured, with her installation “.” This personal traveling exhibit animates Queer archives as spaces of research and/as care鈥擩uhasz鈥檚 own and those of her collaborating hosts鈥攃o-creating a space to showcase holdings of loss, love, action, and memory around AIDS and related assaults, injustices, and actions. Juhasz鈥檚 practice uses art as a tool for both memorialization and permanence. The 今日吃瓜 AIDS Quilt will also be on display.

Join us for an educational conversation, food, and engagement with the arts!
